i was really impressed by these brushes, I assumed that for the price they'd be merely serviceable, but instead they are GREAT! These have become my go to daily brushes. They have a good hand feel with a good heft and are sturdily made. They don't shed and are super soft. They're dense so you get a good amount on your brush and they hold onto powders, even my mineral shadows don't have much fallout with these. The ferrule isn't poking out like on some cheap brushes, I've paid this much for a single brush that wasn't this well made. Seriously, even at double the cost these would be a steal.

5 Game-Changing Makeup Tips for Women Who Wear Glasses

Glasses may be a cute accessory, but since most of us need them to actually see things, they are as essential to daily life as your cell phone. But unfortunately, they can bring attention to your dark circles and make other features disappear—not cool on days you can’t deal with contacts. Luckily, we have some genius tricks to minimize those annoying snafus.

 Do... Go heavy on the eyelid and top liner.

Here’s an easy rule of thumb: The thicker your frames, the thicker your liner should be. This will ensure your glasses don’t overpower your eyes. Keep dark makeup on top, and use white or nude liner along the lower inner rim to create a contrast that makes your eyes pop.

Don't... Try falsies or eyelash extensions.

While we love a long lash, few things are more distracting than feeling like you’ve been poked in the eye each time you blink. Steer clear of anything that makes your lashes unnaturally long and make them hit your lenses. Instead, opt forthickening mascaras that have a similar effect but won’t cause a collision your specs.

Do... Use under-eye concealer.

You’d think that by wearing glasses, you’d be allowed to skip the concealer, but truth be told, it’s more important than ever. The glass in your frames can highlight under-eye discoloration, so concealer (or corrector) is essential. Apply with a brush to the inner corner of the eye area, placing it only where you see dark spots. Then gently blend outward with your fingertips.

Do... Blot away excess foundation.

To keep your makeup from coming off onto your frames, dampen a makeup sponge and roll it over the bridge of your nose and along the tops of your cheeks to lift off any excess product. Don’t worry—it won’t remove what you just put on; it’ll simply leave you with a non-cakey, airbrushed look. Finish with a dusting of finishing powder, which will keep your glasses from sticking to your foundation.

Don't... Neglect your brows.

Your glasses may cover ‘em, but that doesn’t mean they don’t need grooming. (In fact: Your specs can draw attention to your brows.) To make your brows look polished, use a clear or colored brow mascara and brush them upward and outward.

Do... Remember that a bold lip is always a good idea.

Balance is key. Channel your inner Jenna Lyons and sport bright, poppy colors like a true red or hot pink.

I LOOOOOOOOOOOVE the red ones, but I got the purple ones for my girlypants.

While I do think calling these professional quality is an exaggeration, they ARE perfect for travel or for those just starting out with makeup. i got these with a friend in mind for her birthday- she's a makeup novice and I recently gifted her with a bunch of cosmetics only to realize she had no way to actually use any of it. This kit has everything you need to get started including a great variety of shadow brushes. I was impressed with the sponge applicator included; normally I throw those things away, but this is a thick sponge that feels like the material that Beauty Blenders are made of. The carrying case makes it incredibly convenient to take on the road and it's small enough to tuck into your purse for touchups. I might need to get one for me for my purse, cause I'm coveting this one :-) I LOVE the tons of colors available, it's that kind of touch that impresses me- maybe I'm a raccoon, but I like to have a pop of color! The brushes are super soft and I like that the shadow brushes are still firm enough that they aren't going to spill shadow everywhere. All in all, these are a fantastic value and you certainly can't beat the price.

WOWZERS! I have found a latex free makeup blender that is pennies on the dollar of a Beauty Blender!

I have used a Beauty Blender for years and LOVE the flawless look you get, but not the not-so-flawless price. If you haven't used Makeup Blender Sponges before, you don't know what you're missing. You need less than half of the foundation for coverage so you look cleaner and lighter and your makeup stays fresh longer. I've tried numerous dupes and unfortunately they're usually so hard, so I was in shock at how this feels and applies so exactly like those overpriced (but unfortunately super effective) big name sponges. These clean easily and I've gotten a lot of use out of mine, it hasn't fallen apart or started to harden. It's a good idea to replace these every 3 months no matter how often you clean them, and at this price no bloodletting is involved!

From past reviews I've noticed a lot of the natural/organic subscription services love giving out lip balm. But I guess I don't mind, I always love trying new lip products. Organic Indulgences is a cruelty-free company that boasts a line of all natural, affordable products. The lip butter is formulated with shea butter, coconut oil, and sunflower oil and organic beeswax. The smell and flavor greatly reminds me of Thin Mints. Which means I really like it. It is buttery and soft on my lips and adds a hint of mint. The chocolate flavor is not intense. If I saw these in the store and ran out of my lip balm I'd rebuy.

I've been using Smith's Rosebud Salve and Climb On! Repair Bar that I received from Beauty Box 5 and Conscious Box respectively. I love my Rosebud Salve to pieces but I'm open to trying new ones. I especially like that this is a stick so I don't have to get my hands all messy. I've used this on burns, scrapes, cuts, bug bites, ad infinitum.

A familiar brand. I've gotten to try out a few Pangea products in my Birchboxes over the months. This scrub contains Egyptian Geranium oil to help tone skin, cranberry seed enzymes that dissolve away dead skin cells, and ground adzuki beans to gently exfoliate. It smells like cranberries and blood orange which is quite yummy.  I loved it! It didn't leave my skin tight, but my skin felt clean and fresh! This may be a new contender.Oh, and did I mention the plantable packing? It grows into Italian Sweet Basil! 

Journeys Mother: Lotion Pellet in Rosewood Geranium Shea

The natural alternative to liquid lotion, these little pellets melt with skin's heat for major moisturizing.

These lotion pellets are solid bar style lotion that melt in your hand while you use them. They are meant to take out the mess of liquid lotion and were developed by a mom and daughter duo. I have to say I don't see how liquid lotion is messy? This lotion pellet just needs to be warmed up in your hand for a few seconds and then they are ready to use. It reminds me more of a solid salve than lotion. I couldn't see using this on my legs, but more so on dry feet or cuts. One pellet probably would last a week. I've always liked the concept of solid lotions more than the actual execution. They're fine for small areas but really don't float my boat for allover use. These are basically shea butter which I prefer either whipped or as an ingredient.
