My February Beauty Army
Well, I think I made it pretty clear that so far I've been extremely happy with Beauty Army. EXCELLENT customer service, choices actually using my survey info instead of sending me the same thing as everyone else anyway, and only $12 for full sized items and high end deluxe samples. If you pay for a year membership all at once, you get a month free. After being so happy with my first two months, I bit the bullet and did the prepaid membership. I know that's a commitment, but the professionalism I've observed so far has been phenomenal.
The place where I see room for improvement is in their beauty insider updates. They sent out a post Oscar email talking about the Red Carpet beauty trends, but it was only a few sentences that were blurry and hard to read without a lot of info. If that's all I have to complain about, I'm doing pretty good!
My February picks were Cellceutical Cellgenensis, M.A.D. Skincare Youth Transformation Age Corrective Serum, MyFace Cosmetics Blingtone Eyeshadow (full size) in Carribean Queen, laRocca Cosmetics 24K Exfoliating Cream Facial Cleanser (with 24k gold flakes in it!), Indie Lee Daily Moisturizing Oil in Lavender, Weleda Iris Hydrating Day Cream

Time For My Next Fix! (Beauty Fix!!)
I've talked about Beauty Fix with you gals before, but I just wanted to share with you one of my latest kit picks. Beauty Fix is a seasonal beauty club where for $49.95 you pick out 8 products plus a makeup bag is included. It comes out 4 times a year and you're offered tons of different products to choose from. Often the products are full sized and there have been times when the retail value of my choices came out to $500 or more! Seriously! Needless to say, I consider this to be a really darn good deal. All BeautyFix selections are chosen by a panel of makeup and skincare pros, so they're generally all winners. I've been exposed to some fabulous stuff that I had never heard of before, many now holy grail items in my beauty routine.
A sampling of some of my latest picks? (Do remember, this is what I picked, trust me, there's tons of stuff to choose from) And wow- watching the video, I can totally hear the bronchitis that slammed me on my tchukas mere hours later......

Full Sized NINETY DOLLARS! (When one of my picks was unavailable and I got to pick something else, I said, hellz yeah, Baby! Send me another one of these bad boys!)

A note from one of my favorite companies ever (and a discount to try out their AWESOME products!)
The REFRESH line is possibly my favorite, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. The spray is especially good as an organic Febreeze alternative, as well as being a great room/face/body spray for when you need a quick pick me up. 30% off coupon makes it a no brainer to try them out. I have been a devoted customer of Dropwise for years.
Hello! And welcome to all our new subscribers. I'm finally feeling almost back to normal after an unusually long and persistent bout of some kind of flu bug –-there seems to be a few different strains of it going around these days. I'm not the type of person who can easily sit (or lay as the case may be) idle for very long so coping with this extended illness has been a real challenge for me. After returning from Tony Robbins' Date with Destiny seminar this past December, I vowed to practice seeing the "gift" in every situation –-looking at the events of my life as things that are happening for me rather than to me. I realized that sometimes if we don't give ourselves the thing we need, the universe finds a way to do it. In this case I've come to appreciate the value of down time and being still (or quiet) for longer stretches of time instead of constantly reacting to, or analyzing everything that is going on (or not going on) around me. To quote a line from a Grateful Dead song "Once in a while you get shown the light in the strangest of places if you look at it right." My big "aha!" moment came from feeling connected to what's most important –-my health. Everything else flows from there –including creativity. I was able to channel my need for being in motion into something more productive: clearing out clutter (physical and mental)! This allowed some new ideas to drop in. I like to think of it as early spring cleaning, but even more exciting, creating an opening for something new to unfold as we move out of winter into spring. This week's article continues the inquiry into how to cut back on your sugar intake and find healthier substitutes to satisfy your sweet tooth. Remember to honor your body and spirit by taking care of yourself even when you think you don't need it! Yours in health and prosperity, Donya |
