Ombre Nail Look Tutorial and Free Welcome Box Offer from Julep

Let's get started!

1. Choose three polishes that blend well together, spanning from dark to light. Not sure what to pick? You can’t go wrong with a deep, opaque color, a lighter shade of the same color, and white. Polish your nails with your darkest color. Allow them to dry.

2. Pour two small dollops of your medium and light colors on a smooth surface (like a piece of wax paper). The two dollops together should be about two-thirds the length of your nails. Use a toothpick or orangewood stick to swirl them together slightly so they mix in the middle, forming a gradient.

3. Dip the edge of a cosmetic sponge directly into your dollops of nail polish then align the sponge so that the lightest color is at the tip of your nail. Press the polish onto your nails with the sponge, dabbing and repeating until you achieve the desired effect. This doesn’t have to be precise!

4. Clean up the edges with our polish corrector pen or a thin brush dipped in polish remover. Finish with a top coat. Voilà!

Murad Clarifying Cleanser - 6.75 FL. OZ.

Well, pretty much what they said! It's a very concentrated gel and after using it, my skin actually felt like it was absorbing my serum and moisturizer better. After use, your pores are tighter and you can see a difference in the amount of blackheads that you get after just one use. I wouldn't recommend this for dry skin, but if you're acne prone, check this one out. Murad is serious skincare, I have yet to use a Murad product that wasn't amazeballs.

AND another product that I had to buy the full size of. It's a green floral, so not so sweet and cloying as many florals are. It starts out with a strong lily-of-the-valley floral blast, but it unfolds really quickly into a lovely soft green scent. It will last forevah on your clothing but not be overpowering on your skin. When I wear this, my mister likes to nuzzle me which to me is a top endorsement since I normally have to harangue him for his opinion on perfumes. (and the man even used to work the men's fragrance department at Dillards for pete's sake!)

So one box was a $54 value! You CANNOT beat that..... I ADORE their polishes and their pedi products are mind blowing. Oh, how I need to give myself a pedicure tonight. When it comes to cleaning products, there's an unfortunate number of them that scare the bejeesus outta me. So much harsh, toxic, skin/earth/water/plant/animal/baby harming stuff is sadly the norm under the typical American sink. Remember Mr Yuck?

The cotton lining keeps them from making your hands get too hot and sweaty, and they last forever. A year later and I'm still using this pair. I have a few pairs so that there's one for gross stuff, one for basic cleaning, one for doing crafts..... Even my husband is a fan of these.

method laundry detergent is an old favorite of mine now. Not only is it affordable, easy to find, etc.... but it works great! I've tried a number of different scents now and I love them all. This works equally well in hot warm AND cold water. It leaves your clothes clean and fresh as well as soft. Hypoallergenic, so those with sensitive skin (me sometimes) don't have to fear any sort of negative reaction. I love that it's environmentally safe, not only in it's formulation, but by being so concentrated, it's carbon footprint in general is dramatically reduced. I really love the way my sheets feel after using this stuff.

 Clean Well Disinfectant Spray- I love the travel sized cans of this stuff. I like to keep one in my purse for all the nasty, disgusting stuff out there. Also got fish smell out of my countertop tiles after I dumped a can of tuna juice onto the counter.....

What's extra cool about these is that what you have in the bottle is just the concentrate- you add your own water once you're ready to start using it. If you look at most cleaning products, the first ingredient is water. By sending it sans H2O, the carbon footprint is greatly decreased. Think about the added shipping requirements as far as with the extra weight.... Every little bit counts!!
